Then we moved to the U.S. hoping for a better life, but the reality was far from the American dream.
New to the language and culture, I got picked on and bullied.
So throughout my whole youth, I hated myself because of my insecurities.
At 17, I dropped out of high school and got a factory job, making $8.50 per hour.
And not long after, at 18 years old, I met Loan, my current wife and biggest supporter ever since.
And with essentially no moonay, we moved into a tiny shed behind a mobile home park.
Years went by, and at 27…
Loan wanted to get into real estate and start flipping houses.
My first thought?
“We don’t know crap about real estate!”
But Loan believed in us, so she bought tickets to a 3-day seminar.
And in there, they taught us about lease options, contracts, wholesaling, fix & flip - you name it.
And suddenly, my whole mindset flipped..
What I once saw as old houses no one wanted,
I now saw as opportunity for me to make a profit from.
And 6 months later, I closed my first deal for $50,000.
That changed my life forever because it made me realize that the American dream was really possible.
